- Positioning Containers – A crane or reach stacker lowers the container, aligning corner castings above twist lock pins.
- Insertion – Gravity or manual guidance inserts the pin into the casting hole, providing lateral stability.
- Rotation – The operator rotates the handle 90 degrees, locking the pin head out of alignment with the casting hole.
- Locking – The pin head supports the container’s weight, securing it against vertical and horizontal movement.
- Release – To unload, the handle is rotated back, aligning the pin for safe removal.
